Xi Wen (Carys) Chan
I am an Associate Professor in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources at the Department of Management within Griffith Business School, Griffith University. My research focuses on the work–life interface, return-to-work and occupational rehabilitation, flexible and remote working, self-efficacy, work-related stress and burnout, and leader–subordinate interactions. I am well-versed in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and currently lead a programmatic research collaboration with Hannover Life Re of Australasia examining return-to-work outcomes for cancer survivors in the life insurance context. Alongside my research, I teach postgraduate and undergraduate courses at the interface of business and psychology. I also serve as acting HDR Convenor and acting Director of Engagement for ERHR, and am a member of the Statistical Advisory Panel and the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of Griffith Business School. Beyond Griffith University, I am an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Stress Management (ABDC A), an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Vocational Behavior (ABDC A*), and a member of ANZAM's "Wellbeing at Work" Special Interest Group. I have led and contributed to several successful competitive grant applications, obtaining over $4,000,000 in external funding from the Australian Research Council, UnitingCare Queensland, Queensland Women, Safe Work Australia, and Hong Kong Metropolitan University.
