Maria Gonzalez
Dr Maria Gonzalez is a researcher in the UNSW School of Population Health and the Implementation to Impact team, with a focus on making evidence useful in practice. Her work applies mixed methods and implementation frameworks to real-world health service challenges, including process mapping, service delivery analysis across multiple sites, stakeholder workshops, focus groups, trial design and feasibility planning. Her PhD in supportive cancer care examined how yoga affects depression and anxiety in people with cancer, including a systematic review and meta-analysis and a survivor survey that informed how interventions can be designed to be acceptable and feasible. She brings experience translating complex findings into practical tools, workshop outputs and implementation strategies, and has built partnerships across clinicians, consumers and health services.
