Ifeoma Dikeocha
Ifeoma Dikeocha is a biomedical researcher with expertise in cancer biology, microbiome science, and nutritional therapeutics. Her master’s research focused on the use of probiotics as adjuvant therapy for colorectal cancer, demonstrating their ability to modulate gut microbiota and enhance the growth of beneficial bacteria. She gained hands-on experience in bacterial culture, cytotoxicity assays, and animal model experimentation, including treatment administration and organ harvesting in Sprague Dawley rats. Her work led to the publication of a systematic review protocol, a systematic review, a review article, and two original research papers. Currently, her PhD research explores the impact of a whey protein and medium-chain triglyceride-enriched diet on chemotherapy efficacy in solid tumors, using the Dark Agouti mammary adenocarcinoma model. She is particularly interested in how targeted nutritional interventions can improve therapeutic response and treatment adherence in cancer care.
