Alyssa J Ebert Clinical Oncology Society of Australia Annual Scientific Meeting 2026

Alyssa J Ebert

Alyssa Ebert is a Radiation Therapist at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) and PhD candidate at Flinders University's College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Caring Futures Institute. Her doctoral research focuses on the psychosocial needs of adolescents with cancer, with a particular focus on the prehabilitation window - the critical period at and around diagnosis. Her three-study program moves from qualitative synthesis to intervention design: a meta-ethnographic review now submitted to Psycho-Oncology, a scoping review of existing psychosocial interventions, and an ethics-approved co-design study developing a psychosocial prehabilitation intervention with adolescents, caregivers, and clinicians. Alyssa brings both clinical and research perspectives to this work, drawing on her experience as a radiation therapist in paediatric oncology to ground her research in the realities of clinical care. She is supervised by Professor Catherine Paterson, Associate Professor Carolyn Ee, and Dr Andi Agbejule.
