Delivering high-quality cancer care requires more than access to the latest treatment. It requires a clear focus on what matters to patients: living longer and living better, and receiving care that is accessible, affordable and aligned with their goals. This talk will explore how the principles of common sense oncology can guide clinical practice and service delivery in both resource rich and resource limited settings in the Asia-Pacific. The talk will discuss the recent globally unique example of the broadening of access to immunotherapy in Australia. Is this an example of common sense oncology?
