Frailty is one of the strongest predictors of how an older person with cancer will tolerate treatment, recover from illness and maintain independence. This presentation will explore frailty from a geriatrician's perspective, examining what frailty is, why it matters, and how it differs from chronological age, comorbidity and disability. It will outline practical approaches to frailty screening and assessment, and highlight the role of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment in identifying modifiable vulnerabilities, informing treatment decisions and personalising cancer care.
