Radiotherapy is an important component of the treatment options for older patients with cancer. It is non-invasive (in comparison to surgery) and generally does not have systemic side effects (in comparison to systemic therapy with chemotherapy, immunotherapy or biologic therapy).

In this presentation, we will discuss a case of an older patient with breast cancer and an older patient with head and neck cancer, with guidance provided on optimal assessment, management and the latest data to ensure high quality, safe, evidence based-medicine for older patients.
